More Information: Subpart D—Project-Based Assistance Provided by a Federal Agency Other Than HUD
This subpart sets minimum requirements for Federal agencies other than HUD that have housing programs and provide more than $5,000 of project-based assistance.
The key requirements of this subpart include:
- Notices. A notice of lead hazard evaluation or reduction shall be provided to occupants.
- Lead hazard information pamphlet shall be provided to occupants.
- Risk assessment. Owner shall conduct a risk assessment.
- Interim controls. Owner shall conduct interim controls consistent with findings of risk assessment.
- Child
with an environmental intervention blood lead level. If a child less
than 6 years of age living in a federally assisted dwelling unit has an
environmental
intervention blood lead level, the owner shall immediately conduct
a risk assessment. Interim controls of identified lead-based paint hazards
shall be conducted and clearance achieved when interim controls are complete.
